Free Community Events Scheduled at SC BLUE Store in Greenville

Greenville, S.C. – BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina’s South Carolina BLUESM store in Greenville has scheduled free community events in September geared to health, wellness and understanding insurance.

People can register in the events section of this site. Classes are limited. All events are hosted in the seminar room in the store, located at 1025 Woodruff Road, Suite A105, in Magnolia Park.

The schedule for September is:

  • Insurance 101: Learn the ins and outs of health insurance and how to use your plan to its full potential, 6 p.m.–7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10
  • Healthy Cooking: Learn how to make an easy, quick and healthy meal, 6 p.m.–7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17
  • You & Health Care Reform: Learn more about health care reform, 6 p.m.–7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26 and 10:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 28

South Carolina BLUE is proud to sponsor the TROAD Run on September 21 at Roper Mountain Science Center; visit the store to win one of 10 entries into the 5k trail or 8k road race. Early race packet pick-up for the TROAD Run will be in the store on Sept. 20. The store also will have a booth at the Upstate Harvest Moon Festival, Aug. 31–Sept. 2 in Simpsonville and the Komen Race for the Cure on Sept. 28. Also, members of the public may visit the store for a chance to win a pair of tickets to Clemson home games against South Carolina State or Wake Forest.

Regular store hours are 9 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Saturdays. Products available include individual policies and group plans fully insured by BlueCross and by its subsidiary company, BlueChoice® HealthPlan of South Carolina. No appointments are needed.
